Hell Week 1.0

Hell week 1.0 (written exam period) has concluded. Even though I spent basically all day every day inside I did still appreciate the fantastic weather from behind windows (I do realize how incredibly sad that sounds).

I did get to experience the sun's warmth first-hand when Maria invited me over to BBQ with the CBS crew.

It was great to get out a little bit and talk with some familiar faces.

It was a weird week of solitary loneliness and Sunday I just had to break free, so I went to see X-Men Days of Futute Past with Tina. I'd been so stuck in my own bubble that I was momentarily confused about the sci-fi opening - because I'd forgotten about the "Future" part of the story... wow.

It was so exciting! I liked the division between the characters - for once Wolverine didn't overshadow everyone else.
And do you guys like my puzzle style of structuring my writing?

After handing the exam in I saw a pre-viewing of TFIOS. I was sweet enough, but way to polished and Hollywood.

And yesterday we went out to eat burgersssss to celebrate.

May the Force be with Lizzie

The Perks of Being a Cast Member... We got the entire Star Wars saga! I own the old trilogy on VHS, but have been itching to get the dvds for years and years. Turns out I just had to await getting them from the big mouse!
We had a fantastic event in my store for the May The Fourth Be With You-weekend. Saturday we had Stromtroopers in-store!

The forccccceeee. My boss is pregnant and I absolute love that last photo - it's brilliant!

All weekend we had LOADS of Jedi Training events and I hosted some of them. Due to my obvious femininity I even got girls to join the fun - which more than anything warms my heart. Star Wars is so heavily marketed for boys, but I've been watching them since I was 3 years old with vigorous enthusiasm.

This week my parents took me to see the comedy show Rytteriet. It had some good laughs in it and was definitely worth the trip. We drove right by THE BEST ICE CREAM STORE IN DENMARK and didn't go in "because we had to hurry". We arrived 40 minutes early...

... So they made it up to me with something delicious yesterday. By the gods, it's been hot! I think I ate 3 ice creams yesterday....

We just went on revison break. I have until June 2nd to write up my exam and the entire student body is buzzing with excitement and nerves.

I am writing a piece on The Lizzie Bennet Diaries! I'll describe it in a differential reading as an adaption and it's really pretty fun. I'm even using Tumblr and Reddit as legitimate sources...
Warm weather = rainy weather. I got absolutely soaked last week.

Ice bloom

3 weeks ago the annual Hanami event, Sakura Festival, was held by the Japanese Embassy. I only went Saturday, because I really don't have time with all the uni stuff going on atm. The weather was unbelievably fantastastic - and this year I even remembered sun screen, so I didn't return home red like a lobster this time around.
(And Ali + Silas shot some fantastic photos oh merr gawwwd)

As always there were loads of people - even more thanks to the beaming sun - and with that, great company. Yukata and food stalls, stage shows and my favourite event: the Bon Odori dance.

Due to the warm spring, the cherry blossoms had already passed their blooming peak, but at least they were still present. And yes, that is a high-fiving dog.

I also managed to get my shit togethser and laminate my cosplay award diplomas - they get crinkled so fast and I actually don't understand why the organizers don't laminate them anymore (they used to in the past). But woo, now I have eternalized my glorifications haha.

Maria from my uni invited us to watch a theatre perfomance for free - Halløj på falderebet. It was aimed way beyond our age group (for 50+), but we decided to eat some ice cream together afterwards. We got all of that (10 scoops + soft ice for each of us) for 50 kroner, which is absolute bonkers. It was deliciousssssss.
