Celebration of the new and past year

Now for my new years-post! I celebrated the beggining and ending of a year with Astrid, Sascha and her boyfriend. Originally we had planned to go to Louise's place, but she got really sick and had to cancel out on both hosting and participating - such a shame! So instead we just stayed at my parents' house and had our party alongside my parents and their guests.

Btw, all photos in this post is by Sascha!

We made our own sushi and japanese style omelets etc. And yes, then we were western shitheads and drank cola on the side. Even though it was a simple meal I liked the fact that it suited our theme - I think it's pretty obvious what our theme was. Wapanese much.

This was my outfit. Can you say outfit when it's japanese traditional clothing? Well, guess so.
I bought the kimono (I'm just guessing it's not a yukata because it's thicker) while I was in Japan. It was during one of my trips to shrine flea markets - and it was so cheap. I'm so happy that I bought it now!

We had a little fun shooting some pictures, especially with the sparklers - can you tell? Astrid and Sascha looked so damn adorable!
We spent the rest of our evening playing Trivial Pursuit and then rushed downstairs to make a jump into the new year in front of the television. Then we sang along to some nationalistic songs and watched the fireworks. The wind was pretty strong and made it kind of dangerous to see it from the outside so we quickly moved to a safe location behind a window. The fireworks just kept on going until it started raining around 2.

Why is it that yutakas' sleeves are so short? Your arms look retarded is you keep them in that lenght... And the only thing that is really emphasized wearing them is the buttom. Sexxxxxy much.

I had a really great new years!

Wishing you all a happy 2011! Thanks for a fantastic 2010 to both my friends and followers!

Dazzling guru

Generally I hate winter. I hate the cold winter brings forth. But when it snows it's like everything changes. What was so dark before lights up and it all seems so refreshing and magical. When I was small I really did believe snow to be magic, but by now I've learned how it is created in school - which is actually kind of sad. Less magical now.

The thing I love the most about snow is the fact that it makes me fall into a Christmas-y mood. And if there's something I love it's x-mas. The way snow glitters also have a dazzling effect on me.

I wore some of my new stuff today. That's the best about shopping - you get to wear the items you get the next day! My boots are kind of not meant for snow, haha, but somehow I always use them when it's snowing. I almost fell one time. My heart always skips several beats at such times.

I went to watch "Eat pray love" with my mother today. Julia Roberts is kind of "our thing". I think the first not-for-kids movie I saw was Notting Hill. I was probably like 4 years old the first time. And ever since then my mother and I have seen all the movies, she's been in, together. So of course we had to see this one as well. And with my dad in London for some days we had the perfect opportunity.

The movie's about this woman, Liz, who gets a hand-reading while she's in Bali. The man tells her that she will soon loose all of her money and maybe her marriage. 6 months later she is divorced and gave all her belongings to him in order of him signing the papers. She is very depressed and ends up taking a year off to go to Rome to eat, to India to pray to her guru and to Bali to study at the man whom read her hand/love.

It's not a very complicated movie. But it was better than I had thought. I liked to see Julia in a more grown-up role. She's not trying to be younger than she is in this movie, and I really like that.

Oh gawd guys. 13 people commented my last post in 1 day. You are sick. Much love from here.

Settings, sett yous, thank you

A friend of me pointed out how to me that she couldn't comment unless she was on blogspot/LJ/etc. and I was like: "Huh?" because I've not even looked at my commenting settings before today, haha. But now I've changed it so that you don't have to write an annoying spam filter message and you can comment even though you're anominous!

Wow, I suck at stuff like this. Paint, I hate you.

A couple of days ago I was drifting along at 80-something followers, maybe thinking that I'd hit the 100 in 3 months. Now I'm here, after so little time. Jesus guys, I'm not prepared for such a large amount! Haha :)

I am glad that you all like my blog enough to follow me and I always love receiving your comments !!
