Watertribal BB (Burlesque Bowling)

I met some darlings at the National Museum for their NatNight - this time the theme was burlesque! The performers were brilliant and it was a great event - good value when the price of the event was 0 !!

Super fabulous.

Saturday Rikke came by. We drew on each other's bodies to get our heads wrapped around the tattoos soon-to-be on our skin and then bombed my bath while listening to Christmas music.

Later in the week I went to bowl for free with the UCs. I was actually good. I even won??

AVATARRR ("The last airbender")

I went to see the Avatar movie yesterday with Line. We'd really been looking forward to seeing this, even though we kind of knew we'd be REALLY disappointed. We were prepared to sit like "NOOO OH GOD, MAKE IT STOOOP" throughout the whole movie. But turns out it really wasn't so bad!

Haha, this was my starting point. I was really negative when the movie started. But then it started with the sillouhetes doing the 4 kinds of bending, the same as what the series open with in every episode! And then Line and I was jumping up and down in our seats happily haha.

The worst thing in the movie is that all Fire Nation are all Indian people! I mean, it is really clear in the series that they are chinese, japanese or something like that! They have slender bodies and faces, leaning eyes and their skin color is yellow-ish. So them beind Indian is really just wrong. Plus they are wearing classic chinese-ish clothing in the movie too, and... yeah. Just wrong.

And then their uniforms! (still talking about Fire Nation) They were really kind of western instead of being asian as they should be. Also, the series' uniforms are really nicely designed, so I was counting on the movie having just used those!

Moving on to Appa. In the series he is just so funny, cute and cuddly.

When I first saw him I was like YESSS, because we saw him from behing. But when we saw his face Line and I was like URG. It just looks odd. When I look at the animated Appa now they kind of look very much alike, but it just still seems off with that face. I don't really know why though.



So my opinions about the movie:
- Indians are a no-go and their clothes and uniforms sucks (it looks like cosplays)
- Aang's tatoos was great. It wasn't a blue arrow, but the small signs forming an arrow was more realistic, and therefore all right.
- Katara was so not hardcore and Sokka wasn't funny and Jackson didn't play him very well (which they should have been). Plus, they had perfectly white skin, while they should have been tanned.
- Aang was kind of nicely casted. He had his PERFECT moments and that was great. The same with Yue.
- Zuko's scar was way too small
- In the end of the first season in the animeated series Aang becomes a giant monster because of the death of the koi fish (Moon Spirit), THIS:

But that didn't happen at all. I had been waiting for it the whole movie! He just bended the water. LAME.
- The bending was A-MA-ZING! Probably what made the movie not suck.
- The story was kind of confusing and rushed, but that was fine, because we could remember all the parts the movie skipped, haha. But for those who haven't watched the animated series, the movie would probably be very confusing. You didn't really get to know the persons either, only slightly Aang and Zuko.

So I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either.

I haven't bought anything in 10 days = Joy?

Yesterday I got a phonecall from my new boss. Yes, that's right - I have been hired in H&M! I'll start the 2nd of June. I'm looking forward to a work place with more differency, but I'm really going to miss the loveable atmosphere in my bookstore. It'll be hard to go resign tomorrow.

Today I hung out with Sørine. I've missed her so bad and we haven't had time for each other but now we finally had. We ate ice cream on my terrace and watched The Prince of Egypt and laughed at flaming bushes and pantyshots. Nice times.

Yesterday I had four full hours between my classes. And I stayed in school the whole time because it takes to long for me to go home and back - it's a waste of time. And what did I spend the time on? Blogging and fangirling over Avatar, haha <3

Loving the lovely stuff

I feel very inspired by this. I'm thinking of sewing something like this if I find the perfect fabric. But for now I've found some nice floral fabric for a lovely maxi dress, so that'll be my next sewing project. I'll probably make it some time next week.


I've decided to cosplay Haku for my first crossplay. I've loved him since I saw Spririted Away for the first time ! I really can't wait. It'll probably be done for Genki Con this year in August.


Also, I am looking forward to the Avatar movie! Or as the name has now been edited into, The Last Airbender. I really hope it'll be awesome, because I've been waiting for it ever since I heard of it. Here's a trailer:

Break's over!

School starts again tomorrow. Back to drama and noise, yay = . = But I'll make the best of it :D

Things I've done this holiday:

• Seen a lot of friends (parties does that, duh)
• Relaxed A LOT
• Watched way to much anime (I keep telling myself that I can watch just 1 more and... I've watched 3 seasons of Teen Titans and 1.5 of Avatar the Last Airbender. THIS IS PATHETIC, get a life XD but what can I say, I love manga&anime. And you can read manga + be gal just fine >:D REFER TO PICTUTRE)
• Eaten so much sugar and candy, thanks to my uncle being a baker and always making too much cake for his kids' b-days so basically throwing 50000 calories down our throats.
• Done a minimum of homework, I cannot believe we only had 2 hours of work
• Bought too many things, need to spend less

Okay, the very random post will now end. I'm slightly hyper thanks to Sokka being so funny all the time(currently watching Avatar).
