Swedish Pitch

I went to Sweden to take my TOEFL test one Saturday morning. After finishing the 4-hour test, Aybike picked me up and we strolled around Malmö for a bit.

We went to this really cute café, where the regulars had their own cups and everything very much reminded you of your grandma.

It was a beautiful sunny day and we also ended up getting a few sunny beams on our face walking around. But the main target of the afternoon was actually to hit the theatre since we were watching Pitch Perfect 2. Bye-bye sun!

The film doesn't arrive in Denmark for months and I couldn't wait any longer, so the timing of my test was perfect.
Of course it wasn't as good as the first film, but it was a long way from the travesty I had feared it would be. It had the same vibe and heart as the first one, A LOT of great laughs and was so much more than I'd hoped. The music wasn't as good imo but it didn't bother me so much.
We sat in a theatre with basically 12-year olds and it was kinda funny how many jokes they just did not get...
Aaaand I was excited so I drew a pitching fanart. Yes.

Aybike is in Japan right now and wanted to give me my birthday present in person before she left. She gave me a whole lot of LUSH bath bombs because she knows I love taking long baths just as much as she does.
It was lucky that I hadn't bought one of the same when we went there to shop earlier hahah.

Springtime Exams

My cherry trees bloomed fully in the sun.

This attracted a massive amount of bees. I could hear a bloody symphony all the time - even with closed windows.

We've had some movie nights at Pernilles. But last time she took out her entire makeup collection and she did my makeup. Yes, we are apparently seven years old and actually for once had a stereotypical sleepover. I had leftover glitter on my face for days....

The beautiful weather didn't stick though. The past weeks it has been changing from sunshine to heavy rain within minutes. Which meant a too-quick death for my sakura and a horrid springtime for everyone.

But there is something nice about thunder and lightning. I hate the heavy air but the sight is brilliant - and for the firsst time in years I actually saw a real lightning bolt (not just the white pop of colour). (first by http://www.fiskedagbog.dk)

It's lipstick season!

Exam season is upon us. I wrote an assignment with Julie about Harry Potter and fan culture in general. We were energetic workers and finished it in just 5 days.
Which gave me time to watch Avengers again!

This time in IMAX. It was my first time experiencing it and I'm actually not a big fan. I don't like how you have to sit straight all the time for it to work properly and the price tag for the ticket is just excessive (thank god for free tickets).

I then soldiered on with my exam on Makeover TV. With a little help from my friends hot cocoa and tea + the nearby greeneries for short walks.

Dressed-up Avenger

(Crazy busy times have been had. Now I gotta catch up!)
First things first. We had a store celebration party! It was super chill but I decided to dress up for once.

See? Pizza for dinner, table football and limbo. It felt like being back in primary school (as you can see by the childish decorations too) - except of course for the drinking and the wild dancing. We had so much fun!

And I laughed a lot with these two crazy young ladies.

Around this time I also went to Miss Mariah Freefall's performance at Cosy. She's a coworker of ours and it's super fun seeing "her" in such a different element.

Look at her shine. She's come such a long way already from 4 months back when we made the short film documentary about her!

I also went to a pre-screening of Avengers with these sillies. It was a good watch, but I do enjoy their one-off movies better. With more characters the narratives seem a bit too unstructured for my tastes.

The tickets were not that pricy and we got so much stuff - it was crazy. I've shown some here but we actually got a full goodie bag with magazines, cosmetics etc.

And the kids near my house had made it real simple for me to find my way. Kind of cute.

I Disneybounded Captain America. I think he just might be my favourite Avenger in MCU? Which is weird because I so do not like him in comic-verse - maybe it's the Chris Evans effect? Or the fact that his movies have the best scripts?
