Hunting a new camera

The days go by and I hang with friends, having lovely times. Rie is back from her African goodwill experience, wee!

I went to eat brunch with the lovely girl Stine some days ago. I can't believe I've reached an age where I have pregnant friends!

I saw The Hunt a week ago. Boy, that was something. There was this horrified silence in the theatre. I don't care if you're not Danish, this is a must-watch film.

In other, more happy, news!: I purchased a new camera! I have been wanting the filming feature of the newer models for some time now (for when I travel and for experimenting with a new format) and the time was now. So I got the 650D - it's got a flip-out screen that makes me so damn happy, since I can turn the screen towards the inside when I don't use it - that way I can protect it from scratches. Also, the touch feature is quiet cool.

The green is almost out of my hair now! "Washes out after 6-12 washings"... right. More like 6 months.

Blossoming candy

I got home from SVS a bit later than expected and started to discuss with my tiredness if I was still willing to go to the Copenhagen Sakura Festival as I had first intended. In the end I decided to go even though I only made it there to participate in one of the events - the bon odori. But as that was actually the only thing I cared about seeing/being a part of, that was rather all right. It was so fun to dance with my friends!

In order to be able to make it in time for the bon odori I had to get dressed in my yukata + put on make-up in 10 minutes. And I actually made it. I must admit, I was very impressed by my own speed.
Pictures are by Ali!

Introducing to all my lovely followers: My all-time favourite candy in the whole world. I first received this candy as a present from a Finnish artist about 5 years ago and ever since then I've bought it in the airport 1-2 times a year. You see, the super markets here in Denmark did not stock this amazing liquorish filled chocolate - that is, until now. So I kind of celebrated by eating the whole thing in 4 hours, haha... ha...

Today's outfit. It's actually my mom's dress... I just had to try and wear it, and she doesn't mind!

Btw, sorry for the Liv-spam. SO much me in this post. Awkward feeling much.

A speech on buying houses

I hung out with Rikke this Friday and Saturday. We watched tv, movies and played some games! It's been so long since I played Matador - that's the danish Monopoly. It usually takes hours to play, especially if you are 3 or more players, but we got it done in about an hour. Record much?

Rikke and I are both Disney crazy. We got around to playing Trivial Pursuit Disney as well and I usually win (seriously not bragging here) but we were pretty much tied! That's when it gets fun, right?

I took a few shots with my fixed 50mm lens. Can't wait to use it even more!

I watched The King's Speech this week. It was really easy-going and fun to watch. I loved every minute of it and it is absolutely one of the best films I've watched this year!

Happy Holidays?

Merry christmas everybody! I know I'm a little late with all this, but I've been writing this huuuge assignment both before and after Christmas Eve and it's really stressing me out. I only stopped today after 10 hours of hard work because my brain couldn't form genius sentences anymore. Which means I'm not done yet, yes.

I celebrated Christmas at my Aunt and Uncle's place and we were 9 people. It was really nice. I'm not christian so while some of the people from my family went to church I sat down to watch Disney's Christmas Show. That has become a Christmas tradition of mine and I wouldn't miss it for anything.

I always laugh at the places you're meant to laugh even though I've watched all the small films so many times. My fave is absolutely the one with Donald Duck and his cousins, the one were they're having a fight. Which one is your favourite?

Before watching the show I told my family that it most definately was going to be Tangled that was this year's surprise. And it was. So much for surprises, hahah.
And yeah, I'm a total crime rider, taking pictures of the television while it's showing something copirighted. Those pictures belong to Disney, okay?

In the morning on the 24th I came downstairs and my parents had laid a little present out for me. Those earrings. I really like them because they are sparkly, christmassy and yet kind of subtle about it. <3

We ate a lot of food as usual, talked a lot as usual, sang some christmas carols as usual and danced around the christmas tree as usual. And the we ran around the tree and the house as usual. Ahhh, Christmas. My favourite time of the year.

Mass of presents. Man, there were a LOT! But we were all exchanging presents. It took 2 and a half hours to open them all up! Crazyyy. That's a family record - the last one was 2 hours.

On our way back from my Uncle every thing was so white in the countryside. And the sky was kind of amazing. I loved the fact that the sun sent a light beam down on that tree in this shot.

SPOT THE DIFFERENCES.
These are my lovely gifts from this year. ElfQuest, Scott Pilgrim, Harry Potter, Woody and Buzz, Toothless, Kick-Ass. They're all there. I really love all of my gifts and I was surprised at the quantity of them. I didn't expect so many!

Every year my parents give me something lame - just for kicks. This year it was those Disney Princess mugs. They're so lame that they're awesome, hahaha.
Astrid and Sascha gave me the small Jessie and Pizza Planet Alien key chains. They are so damn cute. I love them to pieces.

Another thing that took me by surprise was the fact that I got a new objective for my camera. It's the 50mm mr. Plastic Fantastic. I'm so eager to try it out, but that will have to wait until I'm done with writing this assignment!

Long post is long.

Hanami isn't all about the trees

This weekend the Copenhagen Sakura Festival was held. It is an event hosted by - among others - the Japanese Embassy in Denmark. It is held at Langelinie Park where a lot of Sakuras have been planted some years ago.
It is held once every year - I went two years ago, but couldn't come last year.

This year the weather was kind of bad - there was a lot of wind and it was freezing. Also, the trees wasn't even in bloom yet, thanks to our very long winter this year.
It is a two-day event from 11-17 o'clock. Saturday I came in my yukata. I bought it in Japan two years ago and the mood of the fesival + my yukata + a lot of the friends from my japanese class, with which I travelled to Japan with, being there, made me nostalgic and crazy happy.

I've been wanting to do that kind of side up-do for like forever. I thought it was awesome - like a second head on one side of my face, haha. Surprisingly it only took about 15 min. to set.

Going from Saturday to Sunday! I wore my Penguin Kigurumi, made by myself. I wore a lot of layers underneath, to keep warm.

I knew so many people, but it was nice to sit down and take my time to talk with all of them. I have learned from previous events not to rush around and greet everyone. Taking it easy is much better.

I took abouth 250 pitures this weekend and I really liked how a lot of them turned out. I love my camera.

Both days we danced Bonodori, the spring dance. I danced it two years ago too and I really love to do it. It's fun, yet relaxing.

I had to make some nails. I have been dying to make multi-colored nails for a long time, and decided that now was the time. The quality of the nails sucked though, and I took them off this morning.

My baby has arrived.

My Canon EOS 450D was bought yesterday. I took some photos and stuff like that. Tomorrow I'll only have 2 lectures so afer school I'll go home and read the manual and try out my honny in the light.
I love it to pieces already. I had a dream yesterday of the display screen getting crushed, that's how concerned I am. I think I'll have to buy a screen protector...
My funky Indian lamp. I got it when I was in India for 3 months as a 6-year old. It still lights up my room and I liked how homey this picture turned out - haha, probably just for me though.
Angry father, disapproving of picture-taking at a late hour, haha <3

I can't wait to learn my little darling better 8D ADVENTURE AHEAD :D
