Foods and photography

Ever since I started uni my life has been pretty hectic and stressful, even though I feel like I'm not really doing a lot. It just takes up so much time to read the academic texts and I don't have time for much else than that and work. Zombie existence urg.
But I did get to do some fun stuff despite my packed schedule. We ate out on my dad's b-day and it was one of the most delicious meals I've had in a very long while.

The temperature has dropped little by little with the leaves on the trees. And we even had snow! It's nice to have some great toffees to eat then.

Brrr, cold weather calls for marshmellows and hot cocoa.
I ended up getting free tickets for Thor, which was great since I hadn't found the time to see it prior to that! So I called Rasmus up and the conversation went something like this:

Me: Hey, did you want to see Thor?
Rasmus: Hmm, not really?
Me: Did you want to see Thor for free?
Rasmus: I have never wanted something so much ever.

It was much better than the first, so I was pretty content with it !

Before Jossa went to the UK for The Day of the Doctor we went out to eat at Sporvejen. It's quite possibly my favourite spot in Copenhagen in winter. It's a small restaurant where the entire interior is an old tram !! So cool and cozy when it's freezing outside.

I asked Rose if she wanted to go to the National Museum for the japanese photo exhibition that just opened. They had free putikura machines - it was so weird getting them taken in Denmark, haha. And that text inside the photo booth was absolutely ridiculous.

Some japanese purikura tried to recreate the old photographs and the results were so funny!
On a slightly more disturbing note, one of the photographed men on the shown purikura looked 100 % like my dad. I literally think it's him every time I look at it...

My Tutor group at uni's christmas party was held on the Day of the Doctor, so I couldn't resist dressing a bit up in timey-wimey style and my Doctor Who shirt haha.

The parcel game went well! I got 3 gifts woop woop. And I had wrapped those gigantic sunglasses and he was the perfect recipient.

Cruising to new events

Thursday I Disneybounded as Marie just to be a bit dressy for Halloween. It was super fun and the others at uni thought it was cute.

Two weeks ago we had time off for half term and the annual Culture Night began the festivities as always. Rundetårn had been clad in changing lights just for that one night (!) and I got a lot a vintage movie guides for free at the Danish Film Institute - I'm thinking of framing some of them (not the ones pictured above, haha)

Breaking the lawww and pressing our heads through the bars above the rooftops. And getting into postman costumes, seeing a haunted house, carving pumpkins, listening to classical music and seeing elf dance + a choir performance was events we experienced that night. I hung out with Maria and her multinational exchange student friends from Copenhagen Business School - it was great fun!

I then proceeded to have a super high fever and generally just feel bad for the rest of half term, booohooo. But I did have a grand experience seeing the first premier of the sequel musical Skammerens Datter, which dear Anne who interns at the theatre got us. It was sublime to have that added to the otherwise empty half term.
Sunday I hung around my room in my Wildcat gear and...

Dan and Phil played What Time Is It? on their BBC radio1 show. Brilliant way to end the vacation!
People were tossers and sat in line in front of my Disney Store for the new iPhone from really really early. They queued for a unbelievably long period...

Today I became a really happy camper when I finally bought myself a Vespa - I've been dreaming of one for the longest time and it just feels unbelievably fantastic to have it in my possession! I was supposed to wait until spring to buy it, but the price was so low that I just couldn't control myself! Who am I to resist a bargain...

In sickness and Ice

I was sick for a week, healthy for a week and now I am on week 3 of my doomsday dry cough caused by my asthma! Happy!!! (not)
Planes premiered in Denmark and we started our new super fun event in-store. We get to fold paper planes with the children and it's a fantastic event, arrr I really love it!

I went on the big introduction trip with my new course at university. Naturally I brought loads of snacks, since I eat more than three times a day. The theme was horror so we started with a zombie apocalypse run about the grounds and the older students were just amazing, haha! They also planned a pretty scary night-time treasure hunt for us.
And of course party every night.

The days were spent quizzing, relaxing and we all saw Aladdin together as well! The weather has been getting colder and colder this past month but just this weekend the sun actually peeked out and made the trip all the more fantastic.

The trip is organized and excecuted entirely by our older classmates and they did an unbelievable job. Performances, theme bars, concerts... I thought they'd never stop doing something new and dazzling for us haha!
The last night we had a galla and we dressed up nicely.

We're 2/3 made out of girls, so the line of blokes didn't quite make for a male date for everyone. But we're already really close across all the study groups and it was super fun.
... Dessert was bloody delicious.

I drew a bloke from my study group and I'm kissing our older mentor, haha. Later we ended up singing old Beatles songs and playing piano - very uncharacteristic of a film- and media class, we were told by our older peers.
It's tradition to "ice" each other (smirnoff ice). It's a very nice thing to do - it's like telling someone that "you're a nice person" while humiliating them publicly. It quickly escalates to apples, lollies and other things over the months though... Looking forward, hah!

My local station has undergone maintenance work and it went through a very omnious time where only the travel card lights lit up the darkness...

Non-picture events:
- I GOT MY DRIVERS LICENSE!! WOoohoooOOOooo
- I finally met Tina's British boyfriend
- I held Stine's little baby girl in my arms

I'm constantly trying to find refugees in between reading massive amounts of texts for classes. Today I watched Pitch Perfect while soaking. I'm telling you it worked wonders.
