Fancy Moving?

August continued with high temperatures. I hung out with lovelies and sketched outside for as long as I could stand it - when retreating inside to stay cool I watched and fell in love with Anne with an E.

I really tried making the most of the last summer in the house.

And as the deadline for moving out approached, my hunt for a new place to live reached its' peak. I was starting to feel very stressed and when students all over the country found out that they were getting into school in Copenhagen the hunt became even tougher.

Slowly but surely we were sorting through everything in the house and moving the first things to my parent's new place.

The Broes continued their effort of keeping me cool.

And then this year's PRIDE came around! I had found a ton of these tiny trolls in my boxes in the cellar and decided to make a fun jewellery set.

I met up with Maria at Pride Square and we were soon joined by Louise before we ran into Kenneth!

When two apartments went up in the blocks my parents were moving into, a plan emerged. We tried to get both, but got the "less attractive" flat two stories below the other one. I would move into my parents place for 1,5 before taking my own new place over with Maria. I could breathe again.

That is until we reached crunch time with the move. Emptying my room felt super strange.

I kept finding manifestations of memories. And the empty spaces all around the house grew in numbers.

Before I knew it, we were very close. And it was all about getting mentally ready and taking notice of all the things I'd taken for granted.

We ended on a high tho. One of our final days I found a chicken walking around our street and spent a good hour trying to capture it with my mom and figuring out where it belonged - turned out that it was from the new owners of the house in front of us where my childhood friend Maja had lived. It was another sign showing how much the neighbourhood had changed and we all felt like it truly was time to move on.

I had gone through my cosplays and thrown some out directly - but I had wanted to wear Ponyo and Kanna one last time. With Ponyo thrown out at Genki I only had Kanna left. Stine came out to shoot her and I'm really happy I got some photos in one of my most complicated costumes. I made it not long after I started cosplaying and I actually made wings that could move, which I am still proud of today.

I had chosen a spot out by Tina's parents and knew that not many people passed - which made me comfortable posing for Stine in just my underwear.

The final days came around and in the end the house was empty.

We moved in 4 hours. Crazy how little time something that big can take.

I returned to the house on my own for one last bath and walked around on my own in the emptiness. Strange experience.

We tried to mark the end of an era by dining out, something we very rarely do in my family. And I had a nice long skype chat with Stephen!

And then Tina and Toby got married! I gave them a wedding video, so I was even with them and Silas at their photoshoot.

It was a good party and spirits were high. The venue was really nice and we all slept there. I did however sleep a little less than I'd liked, because I got food poisoning. Yikes.

It was nice to have more hours to get acquainted with Toby's family!

And then it was time for my operation. Bye bye hand bump. But alas, the doctor cancelled everything and sent me back to square one...
So I went to croquis and it was my fave male model doing his thing!

Tuesday meant Glyptoteket. But not until after a bumblebee flew into me and hit the ground sloggily and I had to stop and give it some sugar.

It was a beautiful day, so I took a stroll in Tivoli and drew.

There were so many nice scents and it was a good, empty Tuesday.

I stayed for the ballet and sketched like lightning during the performance. It was a fun exercise!
And then my biggest fashion purchase every had arrived - these Irregular Choice babies were half off and I jsut had to get them.

I finally had time and energy to go and check out Zoo's sand sculpture festival.

And I even saw a lil' monkey! Elephant jr was trying real hard to yank that huge tree with him... Little fella.

September 8th came around. I hadn't planned on going, but with a weather forecast promising nothing but sunny hours I decided to join the Tweed Ride for the first time. I loved seeing all the pretty ladies and fellas, but I have to admit that I didn't love biking around the whole city - it reminded me too much of my teenage days of cosplay walks where people looked at us (and me by extension) as freaks.

I did really like the picnic portion! I sat with Gabi and her friends and talked, ate and sketched. After vintage garden party in Tivoli, it felt odd leaving the park after only a few hours.

Also worth mentioning... This was my first time on a bike in a very long time and 6 hours of biking around is a lot of hours! I was happy to not be biking at the Frederiksberg portion of the fiesta.

People in actual tweed were groaning over the hot weather but I was pretty happy with it. After some chatting with Gabi I left the gathering early - I was biking (oh dear) to Stine's 30th party! A very full and fun day that left me sore haha.

Sunday was spent going into town for the sketch meet and chatting up Michelle. We even did a storyboard exercise together!

I was heading to Silkeborg September 14th, so the week up to that I was packing and seeing lovelies. Amalie and I had been so hyped for that Sierra chickflick and it was a terrible movie about a terrible person. Yikes.
